About Jess
Jessica Farrell, sole proprietor of Redstart Works, is a facilitator, educator, archivist, and consultant who takes on projects that shift power and resources to archivists, archives, maintainers, and the commons. She has worked in several different archival settings, and as a facilitator of digital archives communities at a nonprofit. She has founded or grown several born-digital archiving and preservation communities, including the Digital Library Federation Born-Digital Access Working Group (founder), the BitCurator Consortium (facilitated), and the Software Preservation Network (facilitated). She uses her 15 years of experience and research-in-practice to inform her consulting work in facilitation, strategic planning, financial planning, evaluation, and research, writing and publishing.
